Re-fè Original capsule opener: suitable for aluminium Nespresso®* Original and compatible capsules.

A tool to easily separate used aluminium capsules from coffee grounds and recycle them correctly. Holds up to 15 coffee capsules. Made and produced in Italy and 3D printed. Re-fè is modular and each part can be replaced by buying it separately.

  • Designed and made in Italy with 3D printing

    Made with local raw materials and on-demand 3D printing. Designed and produced in Italy by a creative team of young designers based between Padua and Treviso.

  • Recycled bioplastic

    Made with plant-based bioplastic obtained from pre-consumer waste by our Italian partner FILOALFA®. We collect and recycle scraps with SuperForma to give the material a new life. Biodegradable according to DIN EN ISO 14855. Check correct disposal with your local waste centre. REACH and ROHS certified. Origin IT.

  • Circular: reusable, repairable, modular, recyclable

    If a part breaks you can replace it without buying the whole product again. The glass jar can store coffee grounds or be reused for other food, such as preserves.

How do I use it correctly?
  1. Remove the cover.
    2. Place the used aluminium coffee capsule upright in its slot, base facing down.
    3. Put the Re-fè cover on and press down with one or two hands, applying force only along the vertical axis. Do not press along the horizontal axis or on other points not designed for Re-fè to work.

Where can I keep it?

In the kitchen as a design object, or in the fridge with the supplied closing cap to store the coffee grounds and give them a new life. Keep away from heat and direct light.

How can I clean it?

Only the glass jar and the supplied aluminium cap are dishwasher safe. The bioplastic part cannot go in the dishwasher or be left in water for long. We recommend a cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Let Re-fè air dry away from heat and direct sunlight. See the cleaning instructions.

I don't need it anymore. How can I reuse it?

Re-fè Original can have a second life beyond opening capsules.

The glass jar can store coffee grounds in the fridge with the supplied aluminium cap, or preserves, sauces, nuts, buttons, hair ties and more. With a bit of creativity it can become a lamp or a plant pot.

My Re-fè broke. How can I replace the parts?

Thanks to Re-fè's modularity, if only one part broke you can replace it by buying just that part in our Shop. No need to buy a whole new one.
